THERE will be more drama from St Joseph's Players in the New Year.
Instead of the traditional four-production formula, the Leigh company will add an extra play to their 1997 season.
Mary Sutton, in her final year as chairman, announced the ambitious new move at St Joseph's annual meeting.
"We believe we have the talent and the drive to take in an extra production," she said.
The year will begin with the annual pantomime, directed for the second time by Doreen Johnson. 'Jack & The Beanstalk' will be followed by a Spring Double playbill (April and May) and the popular Autumn Double (September and October).
The full 1997 season will be announced early in the New Year.
Meanwhile, tickets are now on sale at Boardman's Outfitters, Bradshawgate, Leigh, for the Autumn shows, 'Dear Octopus' (September 17-20) and the seaside comedy 'Good Old Summertime' (October 15-18).
Dead-Enders, St Joseph's murder squad, will be performing another of their popular mystery evenings on November 29 at Eastleigh Labour Club.
