LEYLAND Martial Arts Academy boss Mark Strange has stepped up his training in preparation for two important Chinese martial arts tournaments.
The first takes place on Sunday September 1 on the Wirral, where Mark will compete for yet another British title in Chinese kickboxing.
After this event Mark will have a short break before preparing for the World Chinese Martial Arts Championships in Canton, China in November, where he'll be up against tough competition for the world title.
Said Mark: "Training is going extremely well at the moment. I'm up on my stamina and speed after revising my diet and training methods and I feel in good form."
The 22-year-old full-time professional is highly respected as both a teacher and performer in the Chinese martial arts and is one of only a few in the UK working full time in the role.
It will be the second time in two years that Mark has been to China. He went over in 1994 to study with Chinese martial arts masters in Shaolin, Hong Kong and Foshan.
Anyone wishing to learn Chinese martial arts may contact Mark on 01772 623680 or call in at the academy on Talbot Road, Leyland, for further information.
