HOPES of saving Hartley Hospital were fading despite a poster campaign to keep it open.
Nearly every window on Colne's main street contained a notice as regional health chairman Sir John Page travelled through town to visit Hartley. But after talks with Keep Hartley Open campaigners, he said: "I think it's unlikely we'll be able to find the extra money to keep it open."
