LEIGH scored a thrilling six-wicket win against Sefton.
On a good batting wicket Graham Duddle had the only success with the ball, taking 2-72 as Sefton totalled an impressive 194-2.
Leigh replied in style with opener Steve Bailey scoring an amazing 72 - including 10 fours and two sixes - for a first wicket partnership of 86 with Greg Dimery.
Dave Dove kept up the momentum, despite the loss of nine overs due to rain. They needed 84 off 12 overs, 29 off three, 12 off two, eight off the final six balls.
Two singles and a double came off the first three. Then Dove smacked the winning runs (195-4) with a boundary, his 69 coming off 58 balls. Great stuff!
On Saturday Leigh visit Northern.
