A DOG-lover is offering a reward for any information leading to the return of his family's stolen pet Rottweiler, which was taken from a farm in Sutton Manor between 9.30pm on Wednesay, August 21, and 7.30am on August 22.
Owner Alan Healy of Longview Road, Rainhill, is concerned for the dog's welfare and said: "Bess, who is about five-and-a-half-years-old is due to have puppies at any time. My children are missing her greatly. And I'm really concerned about my dog's welfare, she's very docile and I'd hate to think that she's being mistreated in any way.
"I am prepared to offer a small reward to anyone who may be able to give information leading to her return."
Alan says that Bess is not a large Rottweiler, she has a scar on one side of her lip, and tan markings across her chest and rear end.
Anyone with information regarding the incident can contact the Crime Management Unit at St Helens police station on 0151 777 6050, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
