BURNLEY go into the Lions Den on Saturday with hitman Kurt Nogan vowing the Clarets can bounce back from Tuesday's shock 3-1 home defeat against Shrewsbury.

The Welsh wizard - who had hit three goals in three games before the Shrews visit - says it is little more than a hiccup in the quest for promotion.

Prior to Saturday's trip to Millwall, Nogan said: "Although we aim to win every game, we are bound to lose sooner or later and that is something we have to live with. Our performance was poor but that is not going to effect our confidence for the trip to Millwall."

He added: "We haven't kept a clean sheet in any of our league games and that is something we have to strive for. We are a very attack-minded side and are always likely to score goals. If we can blank out the opposition then we are going to prove to be a very hard team to beat."

Burnley's stunning start to the season rocketed them to the top of Division Two - although it was only for three days. But Nogan says he likes the feeling of looking down on the rest of the table.

"Being top of the league is a great feeling and something I want to experience again soon. We know that if we beat Millwall we can get back up there again."

On Tuesday, the Clarets will look to complete the formalities of dumping Mansfield out of the Coca Cola Cup after beating them 3-0 in the away leg a fortnight ago.
