BLACKBURN MP Jack Straw backed an outcry against the Government's clampdown on visas for African and Asian visitors to Britain.
He branded the scheme to make visas compulsory for visitors from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ghana and Nigeria, as "blatantly racialist".
The National Communications Union claimed a backlog of phone faults was building up because of an overtime ban by engineers.
