WORKERS at Michelin Tyre PLC in Burnley are celebrating after retaining its prestigious Investors in People Award.
The firm achieved the award in July ,1993, but had to face a tough three-yearly reassessment to keep the standard.
This involved working with ELTEC to improve its well-established training system.
Factory training manager Ken Simpson said: "Without highly skilled and motivated employees, it is unlikely that Michelin Burnley would be operating today, let alone enjoying increased productivity and the prestige of being one of the first East Lancashire companies to achieve re-recognition as an Investor in People."
ELTEC Chief Executive Mark Price presented the certificate to Harold Hill, production training instructor.
