FOLLOWING my recent perusal of the redevelopment of Blackburn Boulevard, I envisage a splendid outcome - but, alas, there is one blot on its landscape . . . the statue of Queen Victoria.
Now, with the monarchy in somewhat of a shambles, may I strongly suggest that the time is ripe to demolish this crumbling sculpture.
As an alternative, how about Mr Jack Walker, immortalised in stone as a fitting tribute and constant reminder of his immense contribution to our football club and the town of Blackburn?
