BATTING: Right hand
BEST BATTING: 152 not out against Edenfield this season.

BEST BOWLING: Nine for 54 for Ramsbottom against Burnley in 1991.
NICKNAME: Fieldo
PREVIOUS CLUBS: Lancashire Seconds, Ramsbottom, Walshaw, Holmfirth (Huddersfield League), Jacksonville (New Zealand), Cumberland
REPRESENTATIVE HONOURS: England Under 19s, Lancashire Under 15, 16 and 19, Lancashire (full time) 1990-92
MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT (cricket): I was playing against Kent Seconds for Lancashire Seconds and I was hit on the head by a Richard Ellison bouncer. The ball cut my ear right open so I had to be taken to the physio's room and took no further part in the match. Half an hour before the game David Lloyd had been coaching me on bouncers. Well, three weeks later he told the story on Test Match Special, mentioning my name and all. I just sat there cringing! MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT (outside cricket): I tried to get Chris Old's autograph once at a Test match, ran up to this guy, tapped him on the shoulder and when he turned around I realised it was somebody else altogether. I went very red.
MOST FEARED OPPONENT: Mike Everett - who used to play for Ramsbottom - his offspin was just unplayable.
MOST AND LEAST SOCIABLE CRICKETER: Paul Beech, the Settle pro, is certainly one of the most sociable, Least sociable would have to be Kenny Jackson.
ONE TO WATCH AT YOUR CLUB: Jack Dewhurst is a very talented all-rounder. He's only four but if there was an England Under-fives team he'd be playing in it.
HOBBIES: I like travelling, watching most sports on the TV and socialising.
OTHER SPORTS PLAYED: Football, snooker, darts on Thursday night for The Railway in Ramsbottom, golf.
FAVOURITE AND LEAST FAVOURITE POLITICIAN: I have no favourites but my least favourite is John Prescott. He's very abrupt with people.
FAVOURITE AND LEAST FAVOURITE ACTOR: Robert De Niro and Kurt Russell are my favourites - they play great characters. The guy who played Terry Duckworth, he's a bad actor. FAVOURITE AND LEAST FAVOURITE ACTRESS: My favourites are Emma Thompson because she comes across well, she's English and she's made it in Hollywood. And Sharon Stone despite the fact she's ugly! Least favourite is Kathy Bates out of Misery. She scares me.
LAST FILM SEEN: I watched The Sound of Music last week with my mum and sister after coming home from the pub. Then after half an hour I told them I'm switching this over to Match of the Seventies.
FAVOURITE AND LEAST FAVOURITE BAND: Oasis and Simply Red are my favourites. Alanis Morrissett is my least favourite. I don't like her music at all.
FAVOURITE AND LEAST FAVOURITE TV PROGRAMME: Only Fools And Horses is a classic and I also like Men Behaving Badly. Least favourite is ... daytime cooking programmes. BIGGEST GRIPE IN SPORT: The lack of lbw's given to spinners when batsmen don't play a shot. They'd be given out if seamers hit them.
BIGGEST GRIPE OUTSIDE SPORT: I don't like people who think they can talk down to you. Everyone should be treated equal.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY: I'd treat my family and friends and I'd no longer have any fears about losing games of three-card brag with the Clitheroe lads.
