A YOUNG mother and her sister are terrified to leave their home because of a gang of thugs.
The latest attack on Jean Fisher, 22, and her sister Grace, 15, happened last night when their front doorstep was sprayed with lighter fuel and ignited.
Now Jean, of Ullswater Avenue, Huncoat, says she is afraid of allowing her children - Melissa, four, and one-year-old James - to play outside and says Grace is terrified to walk to school. The family have lived on the estate for two years and claim they have been harassed by about 20 ten to 18-year-olds.
Jean said: "Last night my children were playing in the front room when I heard people shouting outside. One kid knocked on the window so I opened the curtains and they were pointing at the door. I could smell burning."
Jean put out the flames before the fire brigade arrived. Police are investigating.
