EAST Lancashire teachers backed their union's bid to sabotage the new GCSE exam system.
The NAS/UWT issued instructions not to carry out extra work connected with the exam's, outside school hours. They included refusing to attend some meetings, keeping records of assessment or supervising and authenticating pupils' course work . The union wanted more teachers jobs to be created to cope with the extra workload.
