IT never ceases to amaze me how much money Blackburn Borough Council continue to waste.
A couple of examples from the past few weeks are the town hall office block blunder and the sub-standard paving stones used for the pedestrian crossings in Ainsworth Street.
I'm sure I am not alone in thinking the council is doing things on the cheap.
But everyone knows that it never pays because a couple of years down the line (or a couple of months in the case of Ainsworth Street) you end up paying over the odds to repair the poor quality workmanship.
Next time I hope the council learns this lesson and stops wasting taxpayers' money.
