THE rugby league season has started - and what a game for the Leyland Warriors U9s.
They travelled to Shevington St Anne's Crusaders where a good team performance was displayed when everyone contributed to this good win in the first game of the season.
Ben Balch who was the top tackler was one of the try scorers along with Chris Tuson, Philip Campbell, Daniel Hutchinson, William Key, Mark Quinn, Daniel Armstrong, Richard Simms and Michael Shingleton.
The U12s also played Shevington St Anne's away. This was a hard fought game which saw Warriors lose 26-4,their only points coming from Jonathan Edwards.
This was the team's first game of the season, and it was an encouraging performance by the players.
