TWELVE Rainhill High pupils have reached the final of a national debating competition.
The team, of sixth-form students, succeeded in the contest organised by European Youth Parliament UK and will take part in the National Selection Weekend at York University between September 27 and 29.
Sponsored by Pilkington Glass, United Utilities, the Royal Bank of Scotland and Widnes Car Hire, they now aim to represent the UK in Nicosia, Cyprus,in a debate against teams from all over Europe.
