WITHIN hours of last week's Journal hitting the streets, readers had turned a sad Leigh six year-old's scowl into a mile-wide smile.
Our front page plea for the return of little Simon Wagstaff's stolen schoolboy scrambles bike resulted in his pink and white PW50 Yamaha being returned to his Higher Folds home.
Simon's overjoyed mum, Linda, told us:"We can't thank The Journal enough - and all the readers who took the trouble to get in touch with us. It was amazing. Simon's delighted to have it back without much damage, although his helmet and gloves are still missing."
And Simon's reaction to being reunited with his Pee Wee - the smile says it all!
