Ian McLellan, Tony Briffa and Stuart Anderson are all on the Crown Ground list.
Manager Tony Greenwood explained: "The cup result was a great disappointment and I've got to bring some new blood to the club.
"I spent four hours on the telephone last night speaking to Vauxhall Conference people. I'm hopeful we might have a new face in the squad for the game at Boston.
"The players are not showing enough passion. It doesn't seem to bother them enough when they lose. The squad may need a clean sweep." BACUP BOROUGH, beaten 5-0 by high-flying Garswood at West View in midweek, face the daunting task of another head to head with the NWCL Second Division pace-setters.
Bacup have injury worries over midfielder Linton James and defender Robert Dorrington before manager Andy Barton names his starting line-up. Striker Neil McLoughlin is ruled out due to work commitments.
The best defensive record in both divisions of the UniBond League - that's the proud boast of GREAT HARWOOD TOWN.
And manager Martin Eatough could not be more pleased, especially as the team has looked just as solid in the last two games when he hasn't had to turn out himself.
"We've only conceded two goals in six games and we have already played three of the top clubs," he said. "But what was equally good about our draw with Curzon Ashton was that we created chances as well, hitting the woodwork three times." Harwood face a weekend on the road, with away games at Bradford PA tomorrow and Ashton Utd on Monday. Paul Brown is suspended but, otherwise, Eatough has a full squad to choose from.
ROSSENDALE UNITED entertain Maine Road tomorrow in a NWCL Division One game, and manager Mickey Graham feels it's vital his team secure maximum points against a side who are also down towards the wrong end of the league table.
He feels the fixture takes on even more significance as both clubs battle for points which would lift them considerably - both in the morale and league status departments. Assistant manager John Hughes - who struggled with an injury in the 4-2 midweek reverse against Salford City - may not be fit, and Mark Heyes is also doubtful with a groin strain.
However, the club this week welcomed back centre half Alan Sayle after his three-month coaching stint in America.
HASLINGDEN aren't expecting any surprises when they take on East Lancashire rivals Nelson in the League Cup tomorrow.
The sides have met twice already this season and Haslingden boss Steve Parry is hoping the pair don't need a replay to settle the tie.
"It's one we want to win.
"But to be fair the games have been very close affairs so far this season."
The last meeting was just last week when the sides drew 1-1.
Parry has some good news on the injury front with Carl Greenwood and Andy Rouine both available again as is Neil Rowbottom who missed the midweek win over Middlewich. RAMSBOTTOM will hope to bounce back from their first league defeat in midweek when they play hosts to Oldham Town tomorrow.
Left-sided player Martin Hulme - out after picking up a calf strain in last week's friendly with Great Harwood - is expected to return.
But prospects for left-back Mike Langhorn - who has missed a couple of games with a groin strain - aren't good in the short term.
Goalkeeper Darrell Sloane, on loan from neighbouring Accrington Stanley, looks set to continue.
Regular keeper Mike Kelly's leg injury looks set to rule him out once again.
Ironically, it was against Ashton Town when Kelly picked up what looked to be an innocuous injury which has consequently ruled him out for the past five games.
A close game is in prospect when NELSON take on Haslingden in the NWCL Challenge preliminary round at home tomorrow.
Although the Victoria Park side should go into the game slightly fresher - unusually they were without a midweek fixture this week.
Player/manager Nigel Coates, said: "It'll probably be a tight game, as we have drawn home and away with Haslingden during the past few weeks. "I think we have been the slightly better side on each occasion, so I would make us slight favourites."
Nelson, who are unbeaten in their last six matches after a dodgy start, will be without Dave Leigh who is on holiday, but midfielder Ian Flemming is available again after suspension.
There's also good news on the injury front, with John Naylor back in training after cracking a bone in his leg.
Although they partially stopped the rot in the controversial midweek draw against Knowsley United, the hopes of a CHORLEY revival will be put to the biggest test of all tomorrow.
The Magpies, whose opening weeks have been dogged by a lengthy casualty list, travel to meet early-season leaders Leek Town.
And that will mean more pressure on Chorley to get it right at the back against the Premier Division's top goalscorers.
Goals have been leaked at an alarming rate since Dave Sutton's team began the new campaign so brightly and that has been at the root of their problems. Experienced director Ken Bracewell remains in temporary charge of team affairs at COLNE following the resignation of Keith Mason due to work commitments.
The North West Counties newcomers have a break from league duties - where they are still to notch their first point - tomorrow when they travel to Cheadle Town at Park Road Stadium in the Challenge Cup preliminary round.
The club have received several applications for the vacancy but an appointment is far from imminent.
