CAN I ask readers to rack their brains and come up with the words of a poem which has the repeated lines: "I thowt a bit, an' I thowt a bit, an' I sed: 'Aye!..."
I have been asked by a friend, John Threlfall, to see if I could help.
When he was a child, one of his relatives would sit him on her knee and would recite this poem to him and it acted as a lullaby.
If anyone can make John a happy man, please phone 01254 393076.
