A SQUAD of super slimmers will be cutting out the fatty foods and shedding the pounds to raise cash for the Burnley and Pendle Hospice.
Eight staff at Gardner's Chemist shops, Burnley, will be cutting out things such as cream cakes and booze in an effort to raise sponsorship to boost the local charity.
The slimmers will be weighed in at Trim N Slim gym on Wednesday and from then on for the next month they plan to loose the flab as quickly as possible.
Organiser Kay Conway, whose mum died from cancer, said: "We're trying to raise as much sponsorship as possible from family, friends and customers. We're also getting help from the reps that come to the shops.
"The gym is also helping us out by allowing us to take part in exercises there and we're hoping some will join in."
