TWO East Lancashire men have received prestigious safety awards at a ceremony at the Armourers' Hall, London.
Graham Pedder, of J B Broadley, and Carl Thornley, of Pendle Training, each got the British Council Safety Diploma in Safety Management.
To achieve the award they studied a range of topics, including problem solving, safety management, occupational health and total loss control, before sitting a 400-question exam.
Graham, of Kay Street, Darwen and Carl, of Haworth Street, Rishton, were congratulated by Prime Minister John Major in a message to delegates.
