Farnborough 2 Morecambe 2 MORECAMBE were twice in front in their sixth game without defeat but were pegged back and made to share the points by a battling Farnborough side. John Norman gave the Shrimps a 16th minute lead when he got in front of the defence and clipped the ball into the net from a Michael Knowles cross. And the Shrimps were in control of the game, giving the home side the runaround with some neat passing until Farnborough's frontman Chris Boothe brought the team's level, forcing home a loose ball in the area with Steve McIlhargey stranded.
Unlucky not to go in ahead at the break, Jim Harvey's men grabbed back their lead just five minutes into the second half with a flowing move. Knowles found Norman, he swept the ball through for Ian Monk on the wing and his cross was met by Justin Jackson who scored at the far post.
But that man Boothe ruined the party again, scoring the goal that split the points in the 66th minute, converting a Wingfield cross.
