GLADIATORS Lightning and Hunter will be stepping into the ring to take part in a special It's A Knockout fun charity event along with teams from Fylde businesses.
Battle will commence this Sunday (September 29) in Stanley Park to help raise cash for Child Victims of Crime.
Administered by senior police officers, this national charity gives practical support to child victims of crime and their families by sending them away on sunshine holidays or by providing items such as computers and bikes.
National fundraising co-ordinator Dean Sumner said: "All the children we support are nominated by police forces for awards. All nominees are the innocent victims of crime.
"Some have lost parents, others suffered personal injuries or abuse.
"All of them deserve something special to remember for all the right reasons.
"We don't offer therapy to the children, but what we've found is when they get together they start to open up to each other.
"They identify with other young victims and come to realise they're not alone and start to open up their inner feelings as they begin to see they're not the only ones suffering the most awful grief or pain."
As well as the 70s-style It's A Knockout games - complete with an oversized inflatable frying pan, blown-up sausages and giant-sized plastic bacon rashers called Sizzling Sid's Big Breakfast - other attractions will include inflatable toys for kids to play with and a small fairground.
Dean added: "Now we're just hoping that the weather stays nice for this special event.
"Everyone will get the opportunity to meet the two Gladiators face to face.
"It should be a good bit of fun with something for all the family."
So, if you fancy a fun-filled, action-packed family day out, why not go along to the event and give your support towards this worthwhile cause at the same time.
