ROWDY yobs - who locked a ladies group in a church hall - could soon be caught out on camera.
The incident at Huncoat was among a catalogue of incidents - including vandalism, violence and children playing 'chicken' on main roads - highlighted at a Police and Community Forum.
Hyndburn MP Greg Pope said he backed police requests for extra cameras and community wardens.
He said: "There is widespread support for more cameras and wardens but the problem is funding.
"The Accrington CCTV system and community wardens were all paid for with Single Regeneration Budget money."
Mr Pope added: "Towns such as Huncoat, Great Harwood and Oswaldtwistle would all like these security measures."
Sergeant Graham Eccles, of Accrington Police, said: "We are very concerned about juvenile nuisance in all areas of the borough but the problems in Huncoat seem to be getting worse.
"We have submitted a bid for SRB money to pay for security cameras and community wardens, and we are waiting to hear the result."
