LANCASHIRE police are urgently looking for new recruits - but they'll have to be 'paw-ly' qualified to get the job!
For the forces Dog training School is in need of a number of dogs to train for specialist roles.
Inspector Phil Williams said: "We are particularly anxious to recruit labradors, spaniels and retrievers aged between one and two years.
Dogs and their handlers have been trained in Lancashire since 1955 and the school is approved by the Home Office as a designated regional centre.
"We have a world-wide reputation and regurlarly train foreign students here," added Insp Williams. "A number of courses are due to take place soon and we would welcome offers from people who would like us to take their dogs."
Anyone who thinks their animal could be suitable for training to become a police dog should contact Insp Williams on 01772 618412.
