ANTI nuclear campaigners called for a full investigation into radioactive waste dumped in an old moorland mineshaft.
Members of Hyndburn CND made the call after the Lancashire Evening Telegraph revealed that low-level waste had been lying buried for more than 30 years at Bye Pit, Belthorn.
But British Nuclear Fuels, who were responsible for monitoring the site, insisted it posed no danger to the public.
