IAM amazed that, following objections from residents, Blackburn Council was recommended to refuse planning permission for a marquee for private functions in Darwen on the grounds of noise.
For years, we have written to the council about Sutty's night club situated at the back of our houses in Blackburn. Four nights a week, from 10.30pm sometimes until 4am, we get no sleep whatsoever.
It does not end when the club closes. We have fights, windows broken and glasses and bottles broken everywhere. We have rats from the rubbish lying all around the property. Even in the hottest weather, we can't open our windows because of the noise and we pay full council tax.
I would like the Council to respond to this. Why is it okay for us to suffer this way, but not for others?
