THE owners of a missing pedigree dog are appealing to anyone who may be able to help them find their pet.
Oscar, a brown six-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier, went missing last Thursday, September 19.
Owner Allen Dalton had taken Oscar for a walk and was returning to his house in Reginald Road, Sutton, when Oscar slipped his collar just 20 yards from home and ran off.
Allen and his wife, Margaret, have searched the local area for Oscar to no avail and now they are appealing to anyone who may have seen a Staffordshire bull terrier, without a collar or identification, to contact them.
Margaret, explained: "We've had Oscar since he was a pup and he is a really pleasant dog. We can't help but think that Oscar may have fallen into the wrong hands, and we hope that someone locally who may have seen him, or taken in him, will get in touch."
Anyone who may have seen the dog, or may have taken the dog in, should contact Margaret Dalton on St Helens 813320 or 458296.
