COLNE were again bitterly disappointed with the referee but stay anchored to the bottom of the North West Counties Division Two without a point.
It was a good performance by Colne, unfortunately losing to a cross/shot that was fired in by full back Jason Jones on 50 minutes beyond the reach of Neil Shackleton.
Both sides played well and an excellent game proved to be a great advert for Counties football.
The first half finished all square, but Colne possibly shaded the second despite conceding the goal.
Two strong appeals for handball were turned down by the referee.
New signing Jamie Livesey fitted in well and Colne now look forward to Saturday's visit of Nelson for their first derby encounter..
Colne's Craig Bradshaw was today selected to play for Lancashire Schools Under 19s next Monday at Preston.
