A COLLECTION of modern art has been discovered gathering dust in the store cupboard at an East Lancashire nightclub.
Now staff at Utopia in Blackburn are anxious to discover the name of the painter - and whether they have a potential Picasso on their hands!
The four abstract art works are called Dilapidation, Fabrication, Cultivate and Ravage but none is signed by the artist.
Utopia's sales coordinator Louise Henry said: "They were going to go in the bin.
"But they are quality works in oil on canvas. It's good modern art, if you like that sort of thing.
"They've never been on the walls of the club and nobody seems to know where they have come from."
Louise is appealing for information about the paintings which will either be given back to the original artist or raffled off for charity.
Anyone who knows anything about them should ring the club on Blackburn 662662.
