MANY readers, particularly those who are animal lovers, may have seen that the Political Animal Lobby (PAL) recently donated £1 million to the Labour Party.
While PAL has given substantial donations to all three major parties to further the cause of animal welfare in the political arena, ultimately, it is the British public who decides what is high on the agenda when it comes to polling day.
Local people can really make a difference when it comes to campaigning against man's treatment of animals.
In the coming months, readers should find out where their local politicians stand on animal welfare issues by writing to their MPs and prospective parliamentary candidates.
Your readers have to speak up for the animals. They can't do it for themselves.
