IHAVE known a number of licensed pistol, rifle and shotgun owners over the years and I have never ever been concerned about them owning such firearms.
However, East Lancashire MPs Jack Straw and Greg Pope do not consider any of their Labour supporters or parliamentary colleagues fit to legally own firearms.
If they cannot trust each other, can someone please explain to me (and other voters who legally own firearms), how either politician can convince us to vote for them?
If senior members of the Labour Party honestly believe that, as individuals, they and their colleagues are mentally unfit to own firearms, how can they consider themselves competent to form the next government and control nuclear weapons?
