A DRAMATIC bid to transfer hundreds of jobs from London to East Lancashire was launched with the help of Rossendale and Darwen MP and Environment Minister David Trippier.
Business chiefs were trying to attract up to 500 'well paid' jobs to Darwen's doomed India Mill by relocating a government department. David Trippier had private talks with East Lancashire's Chamber of Commerce over the issue.
