Accrington Stanley 0 Chorley 3
THE first 45 minutes produced very little from either side to write home about.
After the break the game started to live up to expectations with Stanley forcing the pace. On 55 minutes Smith crossed from the right which Rawstron, who had made a timely run, struck a perfect shot which Marsh saved well putting out for a corner.
Seconds later Brett Ormerod's cross was again met by Rawstron this time his header was again thwarted by the in-form Marsh in the visiting goal. On 60 minutes Ormerod crossed and Rawstron brought the best out of Marsh yet again. This time he saved with his feet.
From a situation where the home side could have been three goals up, it was inevitable that on 61 minutes Chorley took the lead through Graham Able. On 67 minutes Marsh again was brought into action when he had to tip Edmonds' dipping shot over the bar. On 72 minutes it was not Stanley's or Mark Rawstron's night when they had a goal disallowed for offside.
On 76 minutes Chorley went further in front when the ball was played to Procter who brought a good save from Molloy which Karl Marginson reacted giving the visitors a two-goal advantage. Eight minutes later veteran Graham Able put a perfect ball onto the head of Brian Ross to give Chorley their third goal and a victory they deserved over the 90 minutes.
