A MAJOR contract to supply camouflage material for the Danish armed forces has been won by a Rossendale firm.
The deal is J B Broadley's largest military fabric order and new shifts have been brought in at its Rawtenstall factory to cope with the increased demand.
The firm is supplying a nylon material printed in the 'disruptive pattern' used by the Danish army.
The material has infra-red absorbent properties and a weatherproof coating.
It is being supplied to CQC plc who are supplying the forces with infantry rucksack systems.
"This order is the culmination of a relationship with the company spanning 20 years," said Rodney Chambers, sales director.
J B Broadley is a member of Allied Textile Companies and also supplies coated fabrics for industrial applications and airbags for cars.
