LOCAL gun collector (Letters, October 2) will find his answer in his question.
I suspect that Jack Straw and Greg Pope regard the 98 per cent of their fellow MPs who choose not to own hand guns, fully fit to do so and fit to control the nuclear button.
I suspect that, like the vast majority of the population, the two MPs don't trust people who own hand guns, which are designed to kill human beings, and want them as 'playthings.'
This, of course, has nothing to do with target pistols and the sportsmen who shoot at ring targets.
It has everything to do with non-target automatics which are fired at targets in the shape of a human being, with the kill areas highlighted.
Would 'Local gun collector' please explain why such targets are used? You see, its all down to being adult and mature.
D PRATT (Mr), Plantation Street, Accrington.
