BAMBER BRIDGE face a crucial FA Cup clash on Saturday with boss Mick Holgate saying: "If we want it enough we will win."
Bridge visit Unibond League Division One side Atherton LR in the third qualifying round of the FA Cup - and Holgate is approaching the tie in a positive frame of mind.
"We will be trying to win at the first attempt," he said. "If we play like I know we can then we will come away with a win."
Atherton LR play their football one division below Bridge. But, with the Irongate outfit struggling and Atherton LR in a comfortable mid-table position, it promises to be a tight affair.
But Holgate stressed that on Saturday league form and status will go out of the window.
"We won't underestimate them, even though they are a division below us," he said.
"The team that wins will be the team that wants it most.
"We just need the rub of the green.
"Defensively we don't look too bad, the midfield works hard and we have forwards who can finish.
"We haven't seen the best of Bamber Bridge yet this season."
Holgate should be able to field a stronger side than the one that lost to Boston. Dennis Hill will be back from suspension and Stuart Todhunter and Steve O'Neill will have shaken off their knocks.
