I OFTEN walk in to Leigh town centre to do my shopping, it saves using the car and I enjoy the walk. I could easily go to Wigan, Bolton etc. in the car, but I prefer to support our local shops if I can.
I also like to take my dog in to Leigh when shopping, now this is a problem. 'No Dogs Allowed' says the notice on most shop doors. Fine, I can understand why in food shops etc. but how many of these shops provide a means of tethering our dogs while we go in the shop? Not many, in fact only one I know of. So come on you 'No Dogs Allowed' shops and provide some loops outside to fasten our dogs to. There are a lot of dog owners in Leigh.
Well done to Netto for providing this for us. Replies welcome.
