FIRE hero Ronnie Townson rescued two screaming children from the balcony of a blazing pub. The builder was one of the first people on the scene when The Buck Inn, Clitheroe, went up in flames.
Stephen Korny, aged 13 and his sister Vicky, 12, were able to get down from the pub's balcony by using his ladders.
A bagsnatcher stole a pensioner's gold dancing shoes as she made her way to a dance in Burnley.
