THANKS to all the readers who responded to my query (Letters, September 20), I think the mystery over the poem, 'Mickey Plum,' has been laid to rest for ever. My friend, John Threlfall, is a happy man. His phone has been red-hot with calls and recitations of different versions of 'A' Thowt A Bit.' So, once again, the Lancashire Evening Telegraph has come up trumps..
