WORKERS made redundant from a hospital ten years ago are getting together for a reunion.
About 40 cleaners lost their jobs in 1987 when Blackburn Royal Infirmary awarded the cleaning contract to an outside firm.
Now ex-worker Marilyn Duxbury, of Windsor Road, Knuzden, is appealing for former colleagues to get in touch for a get-together in mid-November at the Cabin End, Knuzden.
She said: "It will be ten years exactly in November that we were all given our notice and it's going to be wonderful to meet up with old friends again."
Any domestic staff who worked at BRI before 1987 can contact Marilyn on 01254 279193.
