THE plight of student hostage Paul Wells is the subject of an article written by Blackburn members of the Gateway organisation for their national magazine, Viewpoint.
The Blackburn Senior Gateway Self Advocacy Group used the piece to ask people not to forget Paul and the three other Westerners being held by Kashmiri separatist militants.
The group meet at the Accrington Road Community Centre in Blackburn on Tuesday nights and often discuss issues in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
They decided to submit an article about Paul Wells, of Bracken Close, Blackburn, because "it provides a local viewpoint on a global story".
The piece is written jointly by group members Anthony Perkins, Andrea Gooderham, Andrew Townend, Julie Hall, Claire Morgan, Paul Davies and Donna McCallum.
After giving readers the background to Paul's plight, they write: "It is important, through Viewpoint, that even more people are reminded of this terrible situation which many hope the Government can resolve soon."
