A CHILD smuggling trial involving Great Harwood aid worker John Boast has been adjourned again - to allow an interpreter to be found for one of the witnesses.

The 46-year-old is accused of being involved in smuggling young children out of Romania.

He spent four months in jail in the northern town of Oradea before being released last week.

Now the case against him, which has already been put off several times, has been adjourned until November 5.

The decision came after a Hungarian-speaking witness turned up at the court yesterday and an interpreter could not be found.

Mr Boast, who has been banned from leaving Romania during the case, said: "I am not really frustrated because at least I am no longer in prison.

"They can drag it out as long as they want but I think it is in their interests as well as mine to get everything sorted out as soon as possible."
