THE axe has fallen on 32 jobs at a distribution warehouse in Great Harwood.
The redundancies among full-time warehouse staff at Asco General Supplies in West Street is part of a restructuring policy.
The firm is a distribution and warehousing company, servicing various footwear and clothing firms.
A spokesman said : "We have been restructuring the company due to its expansion and unfortunately it has resulted in one of our new warehouses being outside the Blackburn area.
"This has meant that we created 80 jobs in Washington in the North East but have had to lose 32 on the East Lancashire site."
A workforce of around 80 people are still employed at Premier Mill in Great Harwood
