TWO awards of excellence have been presented to the Rev Lawrie Adam for a documentary on drug abuse and a drama on the changing role of churches.
Mr Adam, co-ordinator of TV and video production for the Church of England in Lancashire and curate of All Saints in West Burnley, attended a ceremony in London for the Christian European Visual Media Association awards.
He said: "It was a terrific experience and I'm very proud to have received these two awards.
"I see them as being for the whole team of people who worked with me on these projects."
Drug documentary Devil's Candy has also been nominated for the prestigious Royal Television Society Awards next month.
It has been used widely by agencies involved with drug education work and nearly every prison has at least one copy, as do universities, hospitals, drug rehabilitation units and police authorities.
The award-winning drama The Challenge of Change is being used by many churches around the country.
