AS part of the BBC's commitment to listening to the views of licence payers we are looking for viewers and listeners interested in joining the North West Regional Advisory Council.
The council, comprising 12 members of the public, meets four times a year to provide independent advice and comment on the BBC's local radio and regional television services. Its views are reported directly to the BBC's Board of Governors which appoints council members.
The aim is to make it broadly representative of the general public in the North West, with a good balance of men and women drawn from the region's diverse communities.
There will shortly be four council vacancies and if any of your readers are interested in becoming members, they should write for an application to: The Secretary, Regional Advisory Council, BBC, Oxford Road, Manchester. M60 1SJ.
MARGARET McCARTHY, Secretary, North West Regional Advisory Council.
