THE Government was facing a mounting storm over leaked reports which grimly warned that there may be more job losses in the North West before the end of the decade. Spokesmen were playing down the predictions outlined in 17 volumes of papers send privately to Common Market officials from Whitehall.
Burnley and Pendle busmen were warned they could be out of a job by the weekend unless they agreed new contracts.
