MAY I inform J Pilkington (Letters, October 11) that the Anne Frank Diary and the Holocaust are a statement of historical fact, and there can be no valid reason to suppress it.
The aim is not to blame the German people, but the Nazis who were responsible.
The horrors of the present-day wars and conflicts have been brought about by people who have forgotten the lessons of World War Two. Once you forget the past, given time, it will occur again.
Recently, we had the National Front trying to kindle its racist views. It tried to claim the Holocaust had never taken place. That's another reason why people need to be reminded.
