RIBBLE Valley MP Nigel Evans has warned small businesses that the country shouldn't become complacent about the economic recovery.
Speaking at the Small Business Bureau's annual conference in Surrey, he said he would try and speed up moves to have Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax abolished to enable firms to reinvest in their enterprises.
"We have the lowest inflation I can remember, competitive interest rates, lots of new businesses and excellent news on the employment front," said Mr Evans, vice chairman of the bureau.
"But I can remember when the situation was far different. We have to ensure this Government continues slashing red tape, allowing small businesses to flourish."
