THERE are those who would have the monarchy represent them alone.
It has never been able to, though great efforts have been made to be fair to all, which accounts for the warm reception the Royal Family receives in whatever country they visit.
We Britishers should be pleased, for are they not representing us, not a certain religious or political party?
Prince Charles, it is said, would prefer defender of faiths. Nothing wrong in that - the head of the Commonwealth is head of many countries with their religious and peculiar beliefs. This in no way means that the Royal Family is other than Christian.
