BLACKBURN transport claimed that pupils from Darwen Vale High School slashed seats and threw foam padding out of the windows of the school bus.
The pupils involved were disciplined at school and their parents informed. However, the school said it was confident no seat slashing had taken place or knives involved.
A June election loomed larger as the Tories drew level with Labour in public popularity.
